In this session, we’re reflecting on what we learned in the UNFCCC asynchronous module about negotiations and diplomacy.

Fellows will apply this learning to a negotiation exercise which will be evaluated by our youth experts: Michelle Kim & Diego Arreola Fernandez.

After this session, participants will be able to communicate a negotiation position clearly in written and verbal form, using specific guidelines and in a timed environment. 

This session, sets the tone for a career/commitment to policy & advocacy work, facilitated by YCL’s Executive Director Cory Witter:

• Beginning your journey grounded and with tools to support and maintain mental & physical wellness 

• Overview of key terms around climate emotions, grief and anxiety 

• Community-centered approach to support systems in climate work and creating safe spaces for marginalized communities in international climate space
