As the progeny of settlers of French, Scottish, and English ancestry, I acknowledge that I am a treaty citizen of Treaty No. 1 and that I reside on the traditional lands of the Anishinabe, Ininew, and Dakota peoples, as well as the homeland of the Red River Metis. I am grateful for their stewardship of the land and water for thousands of years, and I affirm my commitment to respectfully walk alongside all of my relations on the path of truth and reconciliation.
