Knowledge Mobilization Manager

The Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO) is seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented Knowledge Mobilization Manager who is passionate about ecological agriculture to support EFAO’s research program to help disseminate and promote farmer-led research to the farming community.

Reporting to EFAO’s Research & Small Grains Program Director, the Knowledge Mobilization Manager will be responsible for writing, coordinating the design and disseminating findings from EFAO’s Farmer-Led Research (FLR) program in the form of research reports, magazine articles, blogs, highlights and other media; and work closely with EFAO’s education team to deliver in-person knowledge transfer events around farmer-led research activities and findings. As such, it is important that this individual be able to translate scientific data into practical information for farmers and have strong written communication skills. The ideal candidate is a self-driven ideas person who is as excited to bring creativity and inspiring communication materials to farmer-led research.

LEAF is currently seeking two Indigenous individuals living in the GTA to join its team as Naturalization Assistants for a full time, 16 week employment position.

The Naturalization Assistants will enjoy an experiential learning environment working as an integrated member of the Community Programs team, reporting to the Community Programs Manager.

The role will primarily focus on LEAF’s Community Tree Planting program which engages volunteers and community members in the ecological restoration of public lands in York Region and Durham Region. This role will also support its Community Housing programs and Education programs. Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) is excited to relaunch its Indigenous Youth Wellness Honorarium! These honorariums are intended for Indigenous Youth engaged in frontline activism and/or climate justice organizing. At ICA we know that financial and mental health barriers often impact Indigenous Peoples when engaging in climate justice work. By creating this fund we hope to remove some of those barriers that come up when upholding our sacred responsibilities.
