Reporting to the Program Manager, Ecosystem and Climate Change Strategies, the Coordinator works collaboratively on projects that further CVC’s corporate climate change mitigation and adaptation objectives, acts as a point person for climate change initiatives and enhances internal and external climate change communications and coordinates and supports implementation of Fifty by Thirty, CVC’s corporate climate change mitigation plan. The position is responsible for estimating CVC’s corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions using credible standard methods for tracking GHG emission reduction targets. Working collaboratively with asset management and implementation staff, they develop plans, policies and strategic guidance for GHG emission reduction. The coordinator consults on internal and external strategy, policy, and plan development, engages municipal partners to help them achieve their climate objectives, reviews external communications, and contributes to strategic planning and evaluation of corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Relay Education utilizes science-based learning in all of our programs. Relay’s programming is delivered to educate students about science curriculum-linked topics, such as electricity, energy resources, conservation, and career building. In this role, the successful candidate will work primarily with elementary and secondary students in classrooms throughout GTA schools to lead workshops about renewable energy technology, such as wind turbines and solar panels. They will deliver Relay Education’s renewable energy content; facilitate career workshops; market the programs to schools, build relationships with school boards and educational organizations, and maintain workshop equipment and supplies. Relay offers a flexible work environment where your schedule is yours to manage. This position ranges in hours per week from 10 - 40 dependent on bookings.

The Facilitators may also occasionally deliver programs at community events, such as fairs and festivals, and may have the opportunity to travel outside of their area to provide programming.

Indigenous Climate Action is seeking a confident, motivated individual to fill the role of the Policy Coordinator. The Policy Coordinator will primarily be responsible for building and maintaining collaborative relationships, conducting strong policy analysis, and providing strategic advice on complex policy issues as it relates to Indigenous-led climate policy.

The Policy Coordinator reports to the Manager of Research and Policy. In addition, the Policy Coordinator may be required to contribute to writing, analysis and coordination across multiple projects and initiatives. Indigenous Climate Action is seeking an outgoing and motivated individual to fill the role of Climate Leadership Coordinator. Under the guidance of the Education and Training Manager, the Climate Leadership Coordinator will primarily focus on Climate Leadership trainings, and supporting the growth of the Climate Leadership Program (CLP). The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and facilitation of ICA’s CLP. The CLP is an online and in-person training that aims to support Indigenous peoples to be climate change leaders, support the development of regionally and effective climate action, and build a network of Indigenous climate leaders.

Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) is excited to relaunch its Indigenous Youth Wellness Honorarium! These honorariums are intended for Indigenous Youth engaged in frontline activism and/or climate justice organizing. At ICA we know that financial and mental health barriers often impact Indigenous Peoples when engaging in climate justice work. By creating this fund we hope to remove some of those barriers that come up when upholding our sacred responsibilities.
