About YCL

Youth Climate Lab (YCL) is a Canada-based, global non-profit organization of youth mobilizing youth (18-30) to create just, climate-resilient futures. We equip youth with skills, financial access and policy knowledge to take leadership in the climate movement. Our vision is for young people - no matter who they are or where they are from - to catalyze transformative climate action in their communities to the highest levels of decision making. About RAD Cohort

The Research Activate Deepen (RAD) Cohort is YCL’s award-winning program that supports youth across so-called Canada in exploring climate justice, radical collaboration, and The 2030 Agenda, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants engage in a transformative virtual learning journey to RESEARCH, ACTIVATE, and DEEPEN connections through collaborative community projects, with $750 to bring an impactful project to life!

CORE THEMES

  • The following are the core themes you will explore throughout RAD Cohort:

  • United Nations 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals

  • Radical Collaboration, Multi-Solving

  • Climate Justice and Reconciliation

  • Community-Centered Project Creation and Partnership Building

  • Creativity, Design Thinking and Social Impact

What could a project look like?

During the learning journey you will explore so many different project ideas, and work to develop a feasible scope and budget for your project. As climate action (SDG13) intersects with every other SDG in some way, any ideas are on the table! Let’s experiment!
