Jackie Bastianon



Jackie Bastianon is a storyteller, community builder and climate activist, based in the Ottawa area. She recently graduated from Carleton University's School of Journalism, with a minor in Environmental Studies. This degree has given Jackie the tools required to help educate and mobilize others within her network to help act on the issue of climate change. Jackie is the co-founder of the social enterprise PlantEd Project, which offers plant-based cooking workshops for people looking to live more sustainably. She also recognizes the power of municipal politics and sits on the Glebe Community Association Board as Parks Committee Chair. In her spare time, Jackie loves to practice yoga, cook vegan recipes and spend time outdoors.
