Climate Entrepreneurship Coordinator

This exciting opportunity will allow you to play a leading role in organizing and delivering Greenpreneurs, a 10-week online accelerator program funded by the Global Green Growth Institute and delivered in partnership with Student Energy, to support youth-led teams across the world turn their green impact ideas into feasible businesses.
Last year we received over 300 applications, supported ten teams, and provided $20,000 USD funding for these ideas.
This year we’re looking to do even more.
About the role
Position: Paid, 6-month full-time contract with possibility of extension
Pay: $24,000 for the duration of contract

Start date: April 2019 (as soon as possible)
The selected applicant will play a key role in the coordination and delivery of Greenpreneurs 2019, with a focus in the following areas:
Content development of additional web-modules
Management of mentors and Subject Matter Experts
Engagement of Greenpreneurs alumni
Organization webinars - from speakers, to moderation
Overall support to teams as they progress through the accelerator
Support for Youth Climate Lab in the development of entrepreneurship programs
Support selection and onboarding of a steering committee
Review and assessment of applications from participants
Evaluation and reporting
Ongoing coordination with Student Energy for the successful delivery of the program
Desired skills and qualifications
We are seeking for self-driven, energized, impact-focused applicants who:
Demonstrates a high level of self-motivation and organization
Is able to take initiative, be flexible, and work well under uncertainty
Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Is a quick learner with great problem-solving skills
Experience with venture capital/private equity not required but an asset
Have launched or supported startups
Familiarity with startup frameworks (e.g. Lean Startup Methodology, Design Thinking)
Experience with climate finance, social enterprises, and/or impact investing
Demonstrated interest in social/ environmental issues
Project Management experience
Have demonstrated excellent abilities in project management
Comfortable with coordinating multiple moving pieces
Comfort with liaising with different stakeholders, including senior positions at organizations
